Now with the winter I have a few overdue upgrades planned for the 5.0.
Upgrades planned So far:
3G Alt and wiring update
Hi Flow fuel pump
AFPR
King Cobra clutch
Shifter handle
*Scouting bone yards for a wrecked 5.0 Explorer
I will be addressing the 3G install this weekend, but I have a couple questions regarding the fuel pump upgrade.
I've noticed 155-lph/45psi , 190-lph/100 psi , and 255-lph pumps. I don't plan on a supercharger, but a small shot of Nitrous may be in the more distant future. Therefore I was thinking the 190-lph pump would be enough to handle that. Am I thinking correctly?
My other question regards the clutch upgrade. Specifically a quadrant adjuster, (I think that was what it was called, I know a few of you have one) Does this simply adjust the pedal engagement point? I'm pretty happy with my current clutch feel/engagement so is the adjuster really necessary, and if so are they easy to install/adjust/use?
As for the Comp+ shifter handle... its more of a "want" that isn't necessary, but it would give me more of that "cool retro muscle car feel" that I like.
Besides, how many Mustang owners can say their shifter is a Mopar Pistol Grip
I think I've been watching Vanishing Point a little bit too much lately!
