triggz said:Its because every 04 should have the aluminum crossover already. The front of your intake already has the newly designed piece that wont crack where the temp sensor and thermostat are. On the rest, the crossover is plastic and a made-in part of the intake...

It' the 96-01 owners that have been screwed and have to change the lower intake out or eventually be faced with a leaking intake and if far from home - being stuck out there. Many owners with all plastic intakes have had in some cases paid lot of money to get fixed with Ford just offering to extend the coverage on the warranty on some models. It took a court case to force Ford into a settlement, which (IMO) Ford should have covered no matter the mileage/age since it was either a design defect or manufacturing one.

Ford is about to lose a major class action lawsuit, which to us means we can:
A) Get a brand new intake with aluminum crossover installed by a dealer for free
B) Be reimbursed (Up to $735 I think) for having it replaced.
