I have 2 Type X subs with 2 monoblock 1000RMS amps. I have 1/0 Gauge AWG wire and basically dunno how (I should say where to route the wire [not how]. Ive installed systems numerous times but my mustang is giving me a hard time. First stang and to be honest the other cars firewalls were easier
and less intimdating lol anyways back to the topic at hand) to route the wire from the battery through the firewall. I was looking and examing found a few places to drill but am scared and unsure and if they are solid areas or unstable ect.. Both sides looked clean for the drill hole and wire but I would rather have advice. Who has drilled through the firewall for an amp and or other reasons and what locations are good for this? Any ideas where I should do the drilling? Any other related information on the drilling of the firewall and or locations or ANYTHING will be greatly appreciated thank you.! If your unclear as to the thickness of the 1/0 AWG wire. With the rubber surround and wire combined its approximatly 3/4" thick.
P.S. The protective plastic/soft whatever it is layer under the carpet is that safe to drill through? or route it under it or punch a hole, however you'd like to word it.
