So just the other day, I was driving as I do all the time.. nothing out of control or stupid.. then down at my feet i feel a thumping and hear a noise. i dont feel anything in the steering wheel, and if i accelerate it doesnt get faster or louder, in fact i only hear it when my foot is off the gas pedal and im coasting along. I cant think of anything, and i know this is the place to come to get quick honest answers, so any help is greatly appreciated.

now the noise is faint, like the stereo must be down, and to actually hear it i have to listen closely. the thumping feeling feels like driving over concrete slabs where you can feel where each one begins and ends.

oh car is a 2007 GT mustang with around 5700 miles :)

thumping

i agree go to ford...fords have had a problem for years and always try new things,,ive noticed some of the new fords that they are trying a 2piece shaft in them,,is yours one of them?????chevy also did that to the camaro,,WHY?...

Found the culprit, as it was dark the first time I looked over the tires, I got a good look today and low and behold a screw! It was on the inner tread so i could not have seen it at night, sadly it is to close to the sidewall so no repair shop (here in the UK) will fix it. Now I have the joy of replacing a fairly brand new tire. thanks for all the tips of what it could have been.
