Hey guys. I need to know if 275/40/17 tires (mounted on 17x9 Cobra R's) will fit without rubbing on the front of a 1999+ Mustang? Would having a V6 make a difference? Thanks!

Thanks for the quick responses fellas! Question though- would having a V6 model change anything? I would have to doubt it- aren't the chasis and suspension etc. exactly the same as a GT? Thanks- I'm checking this out for a friend.

Works great on my bullitt, Kumhos to be exact. I did notice a little chassis rub spot when I was last under her, but not enough to notice. Bullitts are about .75in lower than a regular Gt so it might not even happen for your friend.

The 275s do look a lot meaner than the stock 245s, but you'll pay for that extra tire also.

Do V6's have the same suspension as GT's? Will these tires fit on the front of a V6?

You'll be fine with the 275s on the front. I've been running them for 2 years now with no major problems. I get a little rub on full turns, but I'm sitting pretty low too. V-6 won't make a difference either.

Thanks! :nice: This is just what I needed to hear.

Anyone else???

They will fit no problem, but from when I had them on the front of my car, they handled like crap. The tires follow every bump, and groove in the road and require more steering effort in order to keep the car going straight. I would stick with the stock 245's up front. But its your decision, looks or performance...
