I'm on the last details of a painless wire harness install and need help on which wires are what on the wiper motor. I have a 66 with a single speed system; the wires are orange/black, black, and light blue (original colors). Which one is the "park" circuit, "on" circuit and "constant B+" circuit? It's one of the last things I need to do before a two year project is done.
Thanks...Dan

I'm not sure I have any more patience than you, I'm about ready to make it a three year project.

It's not starting, I blew a fuse when I tested the headlights and then there's the wiper motor.

Can anyone look at their wiper switch and tell me where the orange/black, black, and light blue wires are connected according to this picture?

Funny

I just completed this step on my 66 Mustang this weekend. I must of read those instructions 2 dozen times. I also called Painless to ask them what wires go where on the wiper motor.

You have to remember that 3 or 4 of the wires, 2 from the fuse block and I believe 2 from the wiper pigtial are not used. Their for the 2 speed switch.

OK from the fuse block. You will not user either of the 2 black wires. The Orange and Black coming from the fuse block goes to terminal A.

The Lt Blue, Yellow, and White go to the wiper motor and the Lt Green goes to ground along with the black wire in that pigtail.

Now where exactly do those 3 wires go on the wiper motor, that was my question. If the wiper plug looks like this ....

.....I.....
...I...I... (just look at the I's I used the dots for spacers)

Then the wires are as follows.
Lt Blue, White, Yellow

Hope that helps?

Pete, you're a lifesaver!

Did you use any relays for your headlights? I think that's where the problem might be for my blown fuse, I may have wired them wrong.

As far as the lights, I wired them exacly how Painless said to. And for the column, I only rewired the stock column.

Good luck.
