hey guys!!
my car is almost back togther and its now supercharged.i am gonna be getting a plenum and a throttle body.are the plenum and TB power gains all within reason between eachother?what i'm trying to ask is if the accufab plenum/TB woth the extra $100 over most of the other brands.also would it be better for me to get the 75mm TB now that i'm blown?before i was just gonna go with the 70mm.thanks guys for the help and i'll have pics up of my car after its finished along with dyno graphs when it gets dyno tuned when i get back from work in 2weeks.

75 is better any way you go, as long as you line it up correctly. Like me, I basically port matched my BBK 75MM TB and P&Pd TF plenum. I would get the trick flow plenum and smooth it out a bit. Better than the accufab and ALOT cheaper....along with a BBK 75MM TB which is also cheaper and does the same job.

If you're going with a supercharger, then I would say a plenum/throttle body combo would definately be worth the extra power. The 75mm setup would probably work best. You can buy the Accufab setup from www.rpmoutlet.com for 399.95 shipped. One other thing you might want to "try" is calling www.neweraperformanceparts.com , and talk to Mike. I believe he is the Online advertiser for New Era at places like Fordpower.net He may be able to get you a slightly better deal on the Accufab setup, if you mention to him that rpmoutlet has it for 399.95. I know he was offering by request only the BBK 75mm/Plenum combo for 289.95 with free shipping to be in competition with rpmoutlet.

Tb size go 75 mm and be done with it.
Plenum IMO they all are so close in power go with whichever you prefer the looks and price on.
Example you got a polished SC and a showcar type engine bay then yeah the accufab polished plenum and TB will look great. But let's say your doing a more race car type bay with satin and natural finishes then a dragon TB and Plenum just looks like it means business.

thanks guys for all of the help.its good to know that just about any question anyone may have about a mustang can be answered by someone on this board.i will post pics up and dyno graphs after its dyno tuned.thanks again guys!

Depends .The 75mm may produce more topend gains but i think a 70m mwill be better overall. But for the cost of a the tbody/plenum setup.Id put a little more with it and get a bullitt intake or P51 setup. That will REALLY make the blower shine.

Good deals are around all the time for the two intakes.WHen i was vortech blown ,i scored a bullitt intake for 350.00 in a junkyard complete :D.

You just have to look for the deals out there.

Oh no...don't make him spend anymore money... :D

There is a comparo on the Depot of 4 of the plenums. The gains were not much different between the four tested. Don't know how much difference they will make SC though but you will have an idea.

Off Topic...Been a long time white99gt...hows the car?

Besides getting the paint redone. The car is doing awesome.I finally got a setup i enjoy :D.Nothing like a flat torque curve to make the day go quicker.
Nice...

Slowly building mine...I'm kinda jealous of the starter of this post since he seems to have alot more spare cash than I can keep up with. I'm hoping he will let me drive when he is done. :D

I will have that Kenne Bell...one day. :nice:

If you got a Bullit Intake manifold in good condition from a junkyard for 350 dollars, then that was a good deal. However, we all know you need more than just the Bullit Intake manifold to do the Bullit intake swap. You need the Bullit alternator, the Bullit throttle body, and I believe you also need a different set of fuel rails and other miscelaneous parts. By the time you buy all those parts, it puts the total cost for the Bullit intake more than double what the manifold alone is. If he goes to the link I gave above, he can get a nice C&L upper intake and matching throttle body or a BBK throttle body combo for 300 shipped. No extra parts needed, just install it and he's done. He can get the Accufab setup for 100 dollars more. Not to mention it's only a matter of time before someone comes out with a aluminum lower intake manifold that produces more power than stock, and this upper intake plenum and throttle body would be compatible with it.

EDIT: Double post, my appologies.

Trikeffex, if you get a set of axles, be sure to get a set that has c-clip compatability, else you'll lose the function of your abs system. Also, be sure to get a set of axles that match the differential you're going to be running in terms of splines, because many people make the mistake of ordering a set of 31 spline axles, only to realize their stock differential is a 28 spline differential, and thus they are not compatible with one another. Something else to consider is a stronger aftermarket cover for the differential. It will increase the fluid capacity, and because most of them are aluminum, they will allow for better heat transfer, and thus slightly lower differential temperatures. This is important in terms of longivety.

i appreciate all the replies guys.
yea rick i was sick of not being able to get the times i wanted,so i wanted to make sure this time that i did.and yea i'm gonna let you drive it after everything is broken in and its dyno tuned.i'm gonna try to order my axles today so i won't be paranoid about running D/R with my stock axles.
hopefully all the work and money(mainly the money:bang: )pay off.
i'm gonna check into all of these tb/plenum combos as well as checking into the P-51 intake i've been looking at.i may just say to hell with it and get it and a nice TB.
anyways thanks guys.
well time to go to work,so i'll talk to all of you in 2weeks.

INtake 350.00 ,used cobra tbody 50.00, alternator used for 50.00 .Stock fuel rails worked fine, the only thing out of the norm needed was a under intake hose and cables.Total about 550.00 in the setup..

SInce the 3v came out..No one really cares about the 2v so i dont see ANYONE making a intake for our cars.Besides the bullitt intake and p51.

money vs gains are leaning towards a bullitt intake..under 1k(depends on the shopper) for at LEAST 30+rwhp..vs 450.00 for maybe 10~12rwhp..

But hey to each his own..I like only spending my money once..
