I'm replacing mine and have had the Ford Racing and Motorcraft before.

I leaning back towards the motorcraft because I can have today for around $45 and they are close to the correct length.

Input on Taylors, MSD, Accel, Ford Racing, etc.

I know the Motorcraft are 8mm vs the Ford 9mm, but does it make that much of difference? I have not seen a noticeable difference.

I've had the same set of Motorcraft for about 6 years, never an issue. I'm looking to get new Ford Racing now, but only for aesthetics .

See I liked the Ford Racings, but they are way too long IMO

Having the right plug wires is very important in a high HP application where the ignition system is being taxed to its limits. With the addition of higher amp CD ignition systems and high output coils having a under performing plug wire will really create problems. In stock to mild performance applications with stock ignition components, it is really a matter of taste...color, style, length, name brand ect.

Then choose a wire that looks the best and fits the best for your application.

I recently changed to black


The red set is circa 2000, the blsck is 2016 vintage. both fit exactly the ssame

For your car the Ford Racing wires are fine. IF you ever get the the point where you add a power adder or HCI and want to spend more money on a set of wires, it may be worth it- but I've run Ford wires on every fox body up to 600hp with not a problem. Know that you will hear a lot about how other wires have "lower resistance" and that in turn means a better wire. What they dont say is the lower resistance will often cause the motor to run leaner and if you have a power adder and don't retune the motor, can cause bad things to happen.

Appreciate the inputs, I think might try the Ford Racing again. Since I don't have the GT40ps on this motor I shouldn't burn a wire here and there like before.
