I use BRF-42s on my 302. Don't know what is called for on the 351. Could be the same. Neoprene valve cvoer gaskets work really well; they are reuseable, don't have to be scraped and don't leak is the cover is flat. To get 'em flat (PO's coulds overtightened 'em and the holes could be down) be sure to take a ball peen hammer to the holes in the covers and knock them back to where they are flad relative to the rest of the cover. I use a 2 x 4 to back the cover up, put the round end of the ball peen into the hole and tap it with another hammer to get 'em back flat.

Get felpros for a 93 5.0 mustang. I don't have the part #, but they are blue, have a steel core to hold them in place, and a spacer to keep you from crushing them. Wait, I don't think they work with steel valve covers. Oh well, what he said.

I also use the FelPro rubber gaskets. They come in handy, especially when you have valves that may need to be adjusted more than usual. My plugs are Bosch.

Why not pull the plugs and inspect them first. No since throwing money down a deep well to hear the splash only to find a dry hole.

I use the rubber Fel-Pros as well, and I put studs in place of the bolts. Much easier that way....

I just pulled my plugs..was planning for new, but the old ones were still like new..like ozsum2 said. For gaskets , I just use the cork with the reinforcement at the bolt holes..
