I got my hands on a set of Pony wheels. They do not have any oxidation but 2 of the wheels have a yellow tint to them. I have read you can repaint them by sanding down etc. I have also been told you cant or shouldn't because of the clear coat. Can I repaint them, does it work? Is there any product to get theyellowing off the wheels? The center caps are mint. I dont drive this car in the rain or winter either. Any suggestions?

Sand and paint. Duplicolor argent wheel paint is a very close match

^ This. Yellowing is probably a cheap clearcoat. Sand and paint and get a coulple of coats of a "good" clearcoat on them. What's easier than trying to tape the wheels off? Just let the air out of the tires and wrap an old towel or newspaper or whatever aroung the outside of the rim and spray away, air 'em back up and your done! :nice:
