Alright, here is the deal. I have recently purchased a 91 LX5liter and I have some woes. The one addressed in this thread is the fact that when i let out of the clutch and apply throttle, there is a noticeable pop under the driver side floor pan. It also seems to thump under there when I am turning a corner from a stop and applying throttle. I have a feeling the endlinks could be the culprit BUT, would it be the endlinks or actually some bushing making this popping noise. Has anyone else experienced this thump and if so please share your remedies.

i had a somwhat same problem, mine was my passanger side motor mount was shot so when i gave the car gas the engine would lift and put the driveshaft in a funky possition making the u-joints pop, after i replaced the motor mount and new k-member with new nuts for the tranny it all stopped. if its a poping like a backfire, then your pipe could just be loose and all the pressure is leaking from there. just a thought.

im not sure how the undercarriage of your car looks like, but my friends 02 V6 had the same problem, it turned out his exhaust pipes were hitting against something. if you have a lift put your car on it, and have someone look under your car and start the car, if the pipes hit something, then you have to push the pipes back into place.
