Hopefully this wont get too graffic, but I'm just curious what your thoughts are about the Police Chief's legal issues?

Has anybody read the court doc's?

I skimmed them briefly on kptv.com and couldn't believe how explicit they are. Do you guys think it's kinda wierd she waited 5 years to bring it up? We did just pass Valentines day, maybe he didn't get her flowers this year and she's pissed

I think it's kind of a two way street. If it's true, he shouldn't have been doing that stuff on city time, with city resources. Also there is a standard of ethics a police cheif, or even police officer should be held to. Some police officers in Corvallis recently got nailed for this. He should be held to the same standard.

I also think it is suspicious that she brings it up now. I think there is some financial motivation for sure, and she likely has the "woman scorned" complex as well.

What a mess.

bottom line is it's NEVER ok to become romantically involved with a subordinate, and that's the real issue. The rest of the smut is just there for shock value.

If this relationship occured when she was not his subordinate, then who cares. The fact she waited 5 years to come out with this after the man is chief of police screams "GOLD DIGGIN HOOKER." Besides, it seems like the relationship was consensual, and no harrassment occured then.

Looking at her, I just don't see her as credible. She looks like she grew up in the same trailer park as me.
