Possible Engine/carb Problems

Lately ran into some issues with my car, when i try to give it all the gas i can give the car stops accelerating at around the 4000rpm mark

Could this be a carb adjustment issue?

it has a 302 in it with forged pistons, hot cam, 289 headers and a 650 holley 4 barrel carb.

What year car?
Was this an EFI to carb conversion?

Its a 1980 mustang, unsure of the year of the engine but it did not come with the car originally.
The original motor that came in the car had another carb on it i believe.
