Post Pics of Painted or Polished Intakes.

Since I'm going to convert over a 93 TB and have the upper and lower intake out of the car. I'm thinking of taking it to the powdercoater and getting something nice done to it. I need some ideas. Post 'em if you've got 'em.:SNSign:

500 Degree Du Pont rattle can. After stripping the old powdercoat down to fresh aluminum.

Jeremy, my current intake is black and I'm looking for something different this time. Something that'll jump up and grab your attention. I'm not too crazy about polished parts either.

Meh, I did this with some masking tape, a razor, and some paint. Not awesome but I like it.

here's mine

Stripped the factory powdercoat off, sanded down all the casting seams and texture, then put down many coats of Dupli-Color 500 degree ceramic silver with 600 grit wet sanding between each coat. Also added some red to the cobra snake and polished the lettering.

paul, i was thinking about this the other day.....you should sand off the paint on the writing on the intake, and polish the lettering....that would loot unbelivable

I always liked Silver...Its just stands out....I ran Black to, but to me the Black kinda hides the upper...
What colors you got on the motor??

I have a GT40 Tubular out being polished except the runners, and the cover plate polished...The runners I have yet to choose a color...It wont be Silver this time though...Maybe Rio Red to match the car???

yea maybe polish "EDELBROCK" and paint PERFORMER RPM in black

Little different style intake but its black textured with polished raised letters & details, then red accents. Sorry but the custom top plate isn't done yet.

Rio i have a dumb question. is your oil spout on the back part of the valve cover instead of in the front like the stock location? ( that round chrome or polished part behind the CAI)

We're in the process of polishing our upper intake on the Cobra. It's almost done. If I remember this thread by the time it's done, I'll post some pics (if it comes out satisfactory for me, that is).
