yup...without the latch, all you need to do it take out the hood pins and ur engine is open for anything. definately keep the latch. you wouldnt even notice a difference with it there and without them
i want this grill for my car but in order to get it i have to lose the hood latch or relocate it? where the hell am i goin to relocate it? do i have to get a 96-98 latch?
i wouldnt dare run without a latch. having hood pins just kinda looks like you dont have a latch anymore and is begging for someone to try and open it sooner or later. sounds like you might have to switch something or rig it to work with the new grill
I've got that type of grill and you can still get to the latch to open the hood, but it's harder. I've gotten used to it. You just have to push over the top of the release arm instead of the normal place. It's gravy.

ya know its funny, for about 2 months after i got my first mustang, i thought that was how u opened the hood by the top of the arm. i didn't realize it until someone opened up their hood.
The cars not painted, and it looks ****ty, but i got em, although i have a full lift off. The front ones i got from summit and are keyed, the rears are just regular cheap ones.
