Well, my beater needs a bit of work too, but all in all it's pretty sweet. It gets me from A to B, and back again.

Granted, the gas sucks huge, but I mean, I got the ride pretty PiMpEd out n'all...

here's a pic of my interior

2003 Ford Taurus Company Car AKA "The Toilet"

This car has seen more air under the tires (all 4) then any other car on this board. She's been airborne a few times. Two months ago I went off into the median on the Turnpike at 65MPH. It landed so hard I lost a filling in my tooth. This was on purpose too.

Roger and I jumped a Walmart entrance ramp and landed so hard that the oil pan bolt was stripped. Doesn't matter because in 36,000 miles the oil has been changed once. Does have a K&N filter.

Two days ago I was practicing 180 slides into parking spaces at Chilis with my 5 year old boy. Then I let him drive. Gotta some nice road rash on the passenger side rim.

At 300 miles it had a major tranny fluid leak. Ford over tightened 3 tranny bolts. At 3000 miles the front seal went and oil was everywhere. I'm on my 3rd window lift. The tranny slips like a Beeyatch. FORD QUALITY!

The Full size

For Sale though, I just cannot live with it as a DD and 8mpg and an avg. of 350miles at min. a week. If I dont get my price I will just store it and get back to it whenever I have more time/money. Being a Senior in my last full time sem. at collage I hope that would not be too long.

Here are my two horses together,

I bought a 00 Olds, Intrigue with a 3.5DOHC V6 for a new DD.

My beater is a 1994 Nissan Quest. Its pretty good in the snow, and it hauls ass also. It has a V6 Maxima engine in it, first car I ever drove. It's part of the family, i got it when i was 7, lol.

HAHa, some friends and I rented a new chevy imp. took it to visit some friends in Indy, We jumped irrigation levies/ditches with it, broke the windshield, did a bunch of "brake" tests (it has a nice e-brake ped.) went off a road in to a ditch and got it up on 2 wheels (sideways). Took it back with 2 bent rims, no wheel weights, broke windshield, slipping tranny, no brakes, 2 bald tires, a flat spare, allign. issues.

Almost as bad as the metro we took to an off road "park" or area. towed it back home and had to get it towed to the rental place. Both cars had under 4k on the odo.

Bad, very bad I know but fun as hell.

Now that I am done crying, I think I will try to respond......So, what did the teller say to you when you "brought" the car to them? Just had to ask!

I think you guys beating the crap out of cars you dont own is pretty lame, especially you older guys who know better. I had a 2000 Taurus that served me well, and it now has 95k on it and running as good as new.

My "beater", or more like my daily driver is my 2003 Acura CL Type-S. 260hp + 6speed manual makes for a decently quick car. FWD, heated seats, limited slip differential, auto climate control, and Bose radio makes for a comfortable car to drive in the snow also.

These are old pics. It now has a spoiler, and next spring it'll get some springs/struts, and I'll probably tint it before winter.

The IMP: looked fine other than the windshield, lost the ins. deposit. left after saying it had developed a "shimmy" in the wheel. The guy was like well your gonna lose the ins. deposit when he saw the windshield (we said it was a rock from a dumptruck that split more). That rental was from his 94"L" going in to the trans shop for the 3rd time, we took out the frustration on that rental, thats what a extented warranty gets ya. He had it for 2 1/2 weeks.

the metro: the friend went to Indy (his girlfriend lived there, same friend as why we went to Indy in the IMP.) the night before and left a message on the rentals machine, "that crappy metro broke down on me, It needs to be towed back to your place" He spent a few hours cleaning the muf off of it. only blew the trans. so they just thought it was a bad trans. I guess.

Another story about the IMP, we were at were we worked, a local pizza place, and we put alot of oil in front of the tires and smoked them for about 3-5 min. the police ended up showing up after we were done, and we all had a laugh about it and talked about the bad brake fade/power v. the older police crown vic, caprice (the local police use the new Impala). the were kinda sad the missed it.
