Just wanted to see if anyone has bought the summit powder coating kit? If so, is it worth the money? Or does anyone have a different brand kit that was affordable, etc.

Also, I have bbk caster chamber plates. Part of them is blue anodized aluminum. I would like to change the color to red. So, what is the best way to paint an annodized part? possible? (powder coating work good?) Thanks

I wouldnt get it, its like craftsman, or other similar products (I forget the names at the moment lol). Its junk. Get eastwood or Caswell. I have an eastwood gun and have yet to use it:/ good luck.

Yeah, get Eastwood. I have their basic gun and it's very nice. I have heard from several big time powder coaters that the Eastwood basic powdercoating gun is very very nice for the price, and they said that Pro Model gun that Eastwood has for $600 is better than some $2000+ powdercoating systems.

If you want to paint them, get an alodine kit(chem film), zinc chromate primer, and paint. Scuff to bare aluminum with aluminum oxide paper or scotchbrite, clean with alcohol, do the alodine, rinse with water, primer, and paint.
