Does anyone have an aftermarket power antenna set up for the Ford? I've seen alot of kits that have the round base but the Ford base is rectangular. I know that there might be some fitment issues inside the fender but I can cut out a small section to fit in the motor with out ruining the inner engine wall. Help.

are you little person? why are you taking your attena off to wash the car?

If your going to a car wash you should be avoiding the touch car washes anyway, I bring my F150 through there with a fixed attena and itnever breaks.

If you want there are attenas that you would affix in your rear window, like a mercedes and you can cover up the hole where the stock attenna goes

If you seriously wash your car every 2 or 3 days, its going to be worn down to the primer within a year, and you'll have rust issues to boot. Imagine your car being rained on every 2 or 3 days, but the kind of rain that sprays with the force of a hose from front/back/top/side/etc, and includes harsh detergents. Believe me, I know from experience.

We all like to have shiny clean cars, but you are doing yourself no good washing it that often, even if you use the nicest quality equipment. Once every 2 weeks is good enough, and waxing maybe once a month. You can keep it shiny in between time by using a nice quality quick detailer, like what Meguiars offers.

As far as the antenna goes, I think you're just going to have to get creative. Let us know how it goes, that sounds like a cool concept.
