New guy here with a MII power steering rack in a street rod. Brakes shocks & rotors were purchased by the previous owner to fit a 78 MII. The mounting holes for the unit are spaced 16" apart. I am having trouble finding a replacement inner tie rod. My unit has 2 roll pins that appear to be driven through the nut/socket (see pic)
The replacement moog part EV117 has 3 holes in the socket that are 120 degrees apart at the edge and one drive rivet. Does this superceed the original construction?
I have not disassembled to bad one yet, it has about 1/8" play.
Thanks for any help and advice. Tie Rod.jpg

My original looked like yours, and my replacement had the single roll-pin with 3 mounting options (which is nice when you're trying to tighten it and stick the pin in with the rack still mounted). I imagine they'll all look a bit different based on the manufacturer. No one will notice under the boot anyways, and functionally it'll be fine. Though personally I like a few drops of loctite to supplement the roll-pin whether it's 1 or 2.
