powerheads,patriot heads,fox lake,mph???

60-65 rwhp? WHAT! ive asked about power #'s many times and the best answers i go were "maybe 10-15 rwhp"

guys this is a big difference with or with out aftermarket cams. whats the deal?

also what is the difference in removing the swirl dams and not removing them? does it effect compression or somthing like that?

looks like MPH removes the swirl dams, Fox lake leaves them in. Interesting.

This is the reply I got from Modular Powerhouse regarding the swirl dams...

Its something Ford puts in there for emmissions.We remove them on all
heads.The FRPP SVO heads donot have them either.It is related to burn
and isn't needed(IMHO) so we have always removed them with no side
effects. Btw,they came in a canton box because those were the only boxes we had big enough at the time to ship them in.

so does removing them make you fail emissions? i think you might still pass
