Why didn't you send them back? I had some and they squealed like pigs. I called the company and shipped them back and they shipped me the next lower brake paks.

Didn't even bother to try. I'm sure Tire Rack may have done that, but I was too angry to try.

I have a set of decla rotors coming i am getting them at a good price i am going to try them out hope they work good..

I've got the OE pads with the Bullitt kit as well as Powerslots and love 'em. I talked to a buddy at Tire Rack about the difference between the Brembos (always a fav. of mine) and the Powerslots. The PS come coated so that there is no rusting on non brake surfaces (unlike Brembo). He went on to tell me that he has PS on his Impala SS and his wife's Suburban without any warp issues (if anything would warp cheap rotors it'd be big honkers like those). After MUCH abuse I like the combo.

I also have to agree on the Hawks...my last setup had those at all 4 corners and ooooo did they make some noise.

ok, i have to jump in here.... i have a 2004 gt. a few months back i up graded to bullet calipers up front with a 13 inch cross drilled AND slotted rotor with hawk pads. I cant remember the name of the rotors. They were cheapo's though...not brembo or anything like that.


Now they are warped (i think) and i am going to replace them. I know what ABS feels like and i am having the same problem as someone else in the this thread.. at higher speeds about 50 mph and above if i use my brakes i feel a shaking in the pedal, steering wheel and the rest of the car. It does not happen when i brake from 45 or less.

I just ordered a new set of front rotors and pads. I have a rear set of cobra rotors and calipers sitting at home.

I just need to get rear pads and steel lines for up front and i will be good to swap everything out.

I must say that when i did get the new calipers and rotors on up front (a few months ago) i felt a HUGE diff. they stopped me way better than the stock brakes.

I tend to brake hard alot. I dont know if the warping is due to my heavy braking habbits or due to me leaving the rears stock....but either way you will like your new brakes.

Just make sure to get zinc plated rotors, i didnt the 1st time and they rusted. It looks like crap IMO. But i would go with the higher quality parts if i were you....you know what they say "you get what you pay for".

p.s. i heard that if you are going to upgrade your rear brakes to a bigger size like to 11 inch cobras, you need some kind of kit from ford. It has a special bracket that puts the caliper in the right spot.

The decla rotors have a 3 year worranty so i dont think the should be too bad..

I put the brembo cross drilled rotors, (sport kit) on 2 different cars, the bullitt and my old integra, and have had no problems with warping at all. I had brembo pads that came with the rotors on the integra and they were good, but REALLY dirty. Now I have Raybestos QS-quiet stop pads, they are nice, and clean. Neither were noisy, plus the gold zinc plated brembos look killer... Found at tirerack.

I put powerslot on my camaro i use to have because the shop i bought them from told me brembo made them. maybe........ maybe not. They were the best feeling breaks i have ever felt personally.Im sure there are much better out there though.
