Hey folks, I just wanted to make a post about one of my sponsors, Precision Brakes Company. They have been kind enough to set me up with a set of brakes for my Mustang SEMA Project. There hasn't been too much buzz around here about upgraded brakes, so here's some info on the setup I'll be running:

Front system:

2-piece 14"x1.25" rotors, which will either be drilled, slotted, or both. I haven't decided yet. The hats for the front rotors are aluminum and can be anodized by request.

Calipers are Forged Superlight 4-Pistons by Wilwood. Precision brakes offers powdercoating for the calipers and can do pretty much any color. Again, not sure which color I'm going with just yet.

Wilwood BT10 brake pads

Stainless brake lines and all the hardware to install comes with the kit too.

For the rear, I'm getting:

14"x1.25" 2-pc. Rotors with iron hats (to support inner parking brake)

FSL 4-piston Calipers

BT10 Pads

and the stainless lines and hardware to install.

I should be getting my setup in the next few weeks and will see if I can document the install. It sounds like a dynamite system. The folks at Precision have been very cool to deal with and are really excited about the '05 Mustang.

If anyone's interested in a big brake upgrade for their '05, check these guys out.

That's all for now, stay tuned for an update once I get the brakes on the car!

Thanks for the info Kris! It's true that not much info about brakes has been posted, which is kind of scary when you think about the amount of power some of the people are adding...

Exactly. The stock brakes are great and all, but with some 05's hitting 450-500hp, they're going to need some serious stopping power.

Hope these work out well. The stock GT brakes suck, especially at higher speeds.
