I bought the predator about 4 monthes ago and it was a great addition to my cars performance, but every once and a while i will get a trouble code PO411 which is Secondary Air Injection Error, I don't have any clue what it means(guessing problem with airflow) or what parameters to change to fix it. It generally comes up after a night of agressive driving, but recently just came on while cruising. Could it be the Air to Fuel Ratio??? Any Help would be great, Car runs fine by the way just get that code comming up now and then.

same here

I bought my 99' last summer and the code came up shortly after. The code is for the Secondary air injection incorrect flow or something. I looked up info on secondary air then determined that it wasnt an emergency. Mean while the engine light came on more frequently then finally its on full time now. I'm still in school so that why i havent worked on it yet. I plan to now.

anyway its been a long time since i last read up on it but my understanding is that secondary air feeds oxygen directly into your headers. This helps to get the cat warm when the engine is cold. So it only works for a few seconds after startup.

I thought about it hard. and it could still be a number of things. here is my check list but this is all guess on my part.

-check vacuum hoses for leaks breaks etc.
-check control valves with a multimeter to see if they are opening or remove one of the hoses and have someone start it up cold. "should i clear the code first?"
- get a darn book and read it! "this is my next step read the other post you cant miss it"
-the air pump could be bad so check to see if that is smoked or not or if something got it clogged.

all this stuff is just intuitive trouble shooting unless the book tells me something else. The problem is it takes time to execute.

I'd say try all that and also check you EGR pipe. If you need to know what that is, just ask.

It is the Exhaust Gas Recirculation. It is an emmission peice and a round black item on top of the engine. It has an vaccumm line as well as a electric connection to it.
