Ok here is the background info on this car. Front half has been removed and replaced with a pinto front. Has a 8 point roll cage. Full fiberglass lift off fenders, hood, nose all one piece. 9 inch rear with 4.56 gears. lift off deck lid. Has a 460 and c-6 but does not come with car.

NOw for the pics. SOrry for the poor quality it was raining and the cars tires are flat.

So what do you think it is worth?

On man, that cage is ghetto Fab. I love the angle Iron components.

I'm sure it could be salvaged and made to look like it wasnt put together behind bubba's house.

I'd question the strength of that front half. doesnt look like the most quality installation from here.

How much does he want for it?

add all that up new, and see what ya get. 3k sounds ridiculous to me, but i guess that might just be me.

the front end work would scare me away. you are looking at a few thousand in parts to get it back to normal.

unless you want to keep it that way.

Sounds ridiculous to me as well....there's a reason that car is sitting where it is...and like it is.... But that's just my train of thought. Ask yourself what is it WORTH to you because that's the real question. Is it worth it to you to give 3K on a car in that shape ? I'd say for 3K you could do better else where with a car alot less cut up.

Thanks guys thats what I needed to hear. I was on the fence on this one. I couldn't decide if it was worth it for me to get it and fix it or try to find a better one. Guess I'll keep looking.

Yeah, that's a bubbamobile. Not worth your time and energy, much less the money it would take to get it back on the road. I wouldn't even take a second look at it.

I'm going to have to differ with the overwhelming consensus here, even though I agree its not worth 3K with no engine/trans. The car is certainly worth over $800, as its a fastback and, according to your description, it has way more than $800 in parts if you wanted to part it out or use some of the parts yourself and then part it out. I also agree that the front subrame (if you could even call that a subframe) and cage have deathtrap written all over them. Regardless, the car is worth more than $800 IMO.

The front subframe definitely needs to be redone before you should even drive the car. The cage is ghetto and needs to be redone, although certain parts of it may be fine at certain tracks if you're only looking for a race car. Any and all angle iron as far as structural members or cage strengthening needs to go. I may get over this, but I think the car is probably worth 2K+, but certainly not 3K.

They can be brought back from the dead. I have some before and after pics at the site that will scare you. I gave $700 for mine in the mid 90's and would offer the guy about that for this one.

Keep in mind the rear glass will bring about $500 by itself and the other glass and parts will give you money to buy a nicer car if you decide to go the "parts" route OR you can use this one for parts on another fastback that you might purchase.

A side note - I kinda like the front end set up. Nice touch for a track car.

looks like that'd be a good start for a race car, but not a street car....

but of course i'm seeing an autocross car not a drag car...

My goal with this one would have been a street car with a big block for an O MY GOD factor. It of course would have to be safe and the cage redone as well as the front end fixed. I don't have these skillls so who knows how much it would cost.

LOL! I wonder how many people on internet Mustang BBs get a Lost in Space reference?

That car isn't worth 3k to me, but I am sure he can get over $800. Too bad the rear quarters are so butchered.

I think I'll offer him 1k. I pretty sure it will piss him off as that is the kind of guy he seems to be, he isn't the one in the pic though .
