I spent the last two days with the stang working over the body and putting por 15 on the wheel lips. By the way how longs it take that stuff to come off your skin?

Anyway I am nearly ready to prime the body which is down to metal and bondo. The last time I had the body to metal we washed it and cleaned it with a tack cloth before primerin' it. I a little nervous about doing that to the bondoed fenders though. I know that stuff's supposed to absorb water. What do you guys think?

I guess it will be thursday before the stang will be ready to get sprayed. I'm going to rent a compressor, throw up some plastic to make a booth in the garage, and go to town on it. I gotta order some part today so they'll be here in time. I'm thinking about replacing the front valance panel since it looks pretty warped, but I could just save money and massauge the one I've got.

ditto on H2O matter .... agree with wipe down using something like Prep-Sol -- a solvent wet rag in one hand .... a dry, lint-free rag in the other .... wipe on; wipe off .... also, wrt the compressor -- beware of moisture and oil in the spraying air, especially in high humidity .... see if you can get at least some sort of water/oil separators in-line before sray gun .... good luck ....

Thanks for the info. I had to go to work today so there was no stang time. I'll get it done though. It was really cool to drive the stang yesturday even if it was just to turn it around.

Yeah I've already got one. Bought it when I got my primer. I discovered that they make a water based auto paint. I'd like to try it, but I don't know if we have a dealer around here.
