Buddy told me about a 65 fastback he saw for sale by the road. Said he did not stop, but the body looked pretty good. Checked it out today, what a rust bucket. From 20 feet away it looked okay. Upon inspection I found: Right rear quarter had a bondo repair about 4" by 6" that the bondo had broken away exposing the piece of scrap metal behind it. Right front fender had several rust holes across the top. Hood the same way. Left fender had bubbles in several spots that I'm sure were patched rust holes. Trunk had a line of bubbles all the way across the back. Probably bad rust under primer. Doors had more of same. All around the windshield and back window trim, you couls see where someone primered over rust and it was returning. Lots of places on car had deep cracks in primer where it looked like bondo repairs were cracking causing the thickly applied primer to crack. Interior was actually decent. Motor lookded really ratty. Sign said $4500 dollars. Not today.
