Mine was when they were handing out pain pills like candy. Five hydro 10s every day five Demerol 5s . Almost 100 mlgrams a day for six years then the government went crazy and shut everybody down and said sorry out of luck. As devastated as you are I hope you got a law suit that satisfies.
I did, too bad I was married to a narcissistic beotch who had a major hand in blowing through it. When everything started turning to she had the gall to tell me I needed to get a second job while she sat on her @$$ at home, even though I could hardly walk. That was the beginning of the end - or at least somewhere in the beginning. But the guy who hit me had 2 insurance policies, his auto policy obviously, and he was a small business owner and had a $1m parachute policy - I was awarded 100% payout of each. One of the problems at that time was someone who didn't know MY situation as far as insurances went said that he would pay my hospital bills. At that time I had two policies, so if MY insurance would've handled it, it would've been paid at 100% and nothing would've come out of my pocket. But the hospital got a little more than 1/4m out of the 2/3 that was left after the lawyer. So I actually got about 1/2 of that amount. Still, $600k was nothing to sneeze at. The problem with it all came with the ex, since I deposited it into a joint account she had control of it too. So while I was laid up, she'd take this trip or that trip, buy this and that, basically like she won the lottery. When the money ran out, I was the bad person. Without getting too deep into it, I stopped trusting her and started recording her rage fits. The final fight that did it is when she blew up and said she was gonna call the cops claiming I was abusive and hit her before I left for work one night. It was recorded and played in court for the judge, but the judge STILL sided with her. Blew my mind.....
Fkn bitcnes suck. Well dude after all that and getting older I hope you get a good woman and can have a decent life. Some may not understand , but this injury has rocked my life and you got it worse.
