pro topline heads are they worth the hype?

You will more than likely run into PTV problems with those heads. They will kill the low end power of the motor anyhow. They are too big for a mild 302. Unless you are going with an all out race 302, they are too big.

Like Joe said, they are a bit large for a 302. I hear they had some qaulity control issues with their castings but they are getting better. Check out hardcore50 and some of the other more race oriented sites as there is more info on them there.

That's a pretty big number for a 358, but it's cam is huge and it's compression is pretty high. I think these heads might be just the thing for a 408 stroker. They will let it breathe to 7,000+ rpm and with a 408, you never have to worry about torque.

I welcome any new manufacturer because competition will improve the breed.

Does this company have a website or anything? I've never heard of them.

Vic. Jr's will out perform all of those. A better comparison is between the AFR 205's and the Vic Jr. Yes, both of these heads are very reliable. Remember, that the reliability isn't in the cylinder heads, it's mainly in the camshaft and the tune of the car.
