I know you guys are thinking "How Could He???"...But My car has just recently started making rear end noises and I think I can hear the Throwout Bearing chirping and I just replaced it last week...I'd like to get something different before the car falls apart on me, and the gas mileage is kinda killing me as well...So just the other night I was sitting at a gas station and I guy that I kinda knew pulled up in a '92-95 civc hatch, and said hed been looking for a mustang and he wants to trade, Its all black primer on the outside has stock wheels with brand new tires, the interior looks all stock except for a 5" tach in the corner of the dash, but under the hood is where it really counts. It has a fresh LS B18 swap, 2500 miles on the motor with some headwork done, full exhaust, and I think a Skunk intake. Itll break the tires loose 1st and 2nd without touching the clutch. I wouldnt go as far as to say its faster than my stang but its almost right up there with it

Well just thought I'd tell ya guys, this definately wont be my last stang, but me being in High School with Payments and insurance, I just figured this would help with gas a little and I can still have fun with it...Oh ya, and it wont fall apart

You're in Tennesee, You can get civics with b18 swap and probably better than primer for around 2k. If you are going to trade, let me buy your stang, then you can biy a civic.

See thats the thing, alot of people have asked me how much do you want for it after I told them I'm trading. And I just tell them I didnt have any intentions on selling it, I just thought this might be a good trade

I can't tell much from the small pic at the bottom of your 1st post, but from what I can see, it looks like it's in decent shape. If it's in the shape I suspect, you should be able to sell it for 3K - maybe more if your interior is in good shape.

You say that the Civic you are considering is almost as fast...Throw another person or two into the car, then throw some crap into the trunk. The lack of torque will start to show up on that little 4 cylinder and you'll be missing your Stang. Just my $.02

See If I took it to the civic boards everyone would be on my side, and say I'm getting a great deal...I think both boards are full of a bunch of fanboys, that have no repect for things that are fast, I guess I'm the middle man, I have a passion for all things that can be made fast whether its a mustang or a civic...But I cannot stand ricers, and the only thing on this car that can be considered rice is the 3 1/2 inch tip out back, even the tach serves a purpose because the car didnt come stock with one

my buddy wrecked his stang, and bought an eg hatch with an ls/vtec b18 swap, and he regrets it everyday. Youll miss the stang.

Give the the 4-eye a tune, fix what is wrong out back and you'll much happier.

My car gets better mpg than my ranger (what a pos)...

with a proper tune and common sense driving, the mustang will do quite well.

civic with a swap=unchartered territory=possible major headaches.

so why do you think the civic guy wants a mustang? because he doesn't like his pos civic. i wouldn't mind a civic for DD, but to trade a stang for one is a no no to me.

Who cares. I dont and dont think people on these boards do. What do you think your gonna get from a 86 mustang. Its old if you want a new car buy a new car. Thats what I did, new for daily driving, the mustang for fun. If you want a civic go to a civic board.
