Probably trading my stang for a civic

And I guess I never really mentioned the condition of my car, Its in definite need of a paint job, its a good 25 footer. The hatch it completely rusted out, and theres a little rust on the hood, the interior is probably the worst part of the car, the dash isnt cracked but its all warped to hell, it has a nice set of leather 99+ seats but the rest is stock cloth, it has no audio system whatsoever, its missing alot of interior pieces and it shakes and rattles from every place you can think of...Drivetrain Is the only thing that's solid but even it has some flaws like a lifter tick thats getting pretty annoying...

And to the rsstang guy, I dont think I'm getting a great deal, but I don't think I'm getting a bad one

See If I took it to the civic boards everyone would be on my side, and say I'm getting a great deal...I think both boards are full of a bunch of fanboys, that have no repect for things that are fast, I guess I'm the middle man, I have a passion for all things that can be made fast whether its a mustang or a civic...But I cannot stand ricers, and the only thing on this car that can be considered rice is the 3 1/2 inch tip out back, even the tach serves a purpose because the car didnt come stock with one

maybe not everyone.. but the more.. diverse guys know speed when they see it.. i respect speed.. and i respect a fast car.. if it beat me, it beat me.. but i dont respect stupidity and bad management of funds.. if you feel you must do it, go ahead... but always remember, you lost money to just buy a civic.. a car with a unbelievable amount of production numbers.. you'll be just another face in the crowd with that one..

If YOU think its worth it, do it. None of us know the two cars and 99% of the guys on this board wouldnt trade their POS rusted out tin box for a 9 second clean Honda... There is a saying about opinions being like a certain body part, and in my eyes lots of the opinions contain the same information as that body part.

If you want to do it, feel free. But I do agree with one thing here, that cars been motor swapped and sounds like it has probably been abused. I think your going to have headaches no matter what you do here, unless you go out and look for a regular old dependable daily driver. If funds are that bad maybe you shouldnt have a performance car in HS!

dont sell it, that 4 eye is too nice!!! besides b18 cars are garbage, my friend has a gsr integra, with a fully built b18, it is slow as crap, I was pullin on him in my trailblazer!! if you want ill buy your car, its too nice to trade for a honda

Believe me, I know how slow integra GSR's are, my friend had one that was supposedly built as well, and it was slow as balls. There's a difference between a teg and a hatch, about 500lbs...This civic is a mid to low 14 second car and mine is a low 14 to high 13 car...And just think with a turbo and a little tuning this car would be well over the 300HP mark easily

BS, a T70 turbo new, 300-500 bucks, less if used, ebay intercooler, piping, wastgate/BOV, manual boost controller and no wya is any of that stuff MUCH cheaper than for a civic, if you're only 17, learn some stuff bout everything first then decide what you wanna waste your money on

When my Stang is in the shop, I drive my girl's 00' Civic HX. I'll admit, it's better on gas.

However, I hate driving it. It's slow and reguardless of what mod's are put into it, it's still not a Mustang. I concur with Roland69. You'll be just another guy in a car that's a dime a dozen, and less cool.

I may not have the best looking Stang, but atleast it's not a Honduh. :SNSign:

look at it this way, find somebody with a welder, flip the stock headers, make a full hot side out of
3" pipe, maybe $75 bux at the most, a nice used holset hx35 from the pick n pull $70, intercooler off a volvo 740-60, $50 oil lines $50, Then make a nice 3" dp, maybe $50-100 and then the rest, fuel pump, injectors, dyno tune? Believe me its way easier to turbo a stang rather than a honda, with a honda they are all electronics, you have to get hondata, tune the pile, $400 yeah!! then the complete kit for the turbo, intercooler, then you still have inj's and the fuel pump, and everything else. And stock your car will run a 14.8 and that thing might bust off a 16.0. It just takes too much work for a honda to run with us to make it worth while to sell it and start throwing money in the honda. If you still want to sell the 86 let me know a price, ive seen the car on more than one occasion.

Your punishment for trading a fox for a civic is going to be a civic. I hope you love the wonderfull exaust note, it will get really old, really quick. That is about the only thing quick.
