I put in a 98 gt motor into my 96 gt, The problem I'm having is the serpentine belt on the upper idler pulley looks like it wants to slide foward while running, its rubbing the protective stop on the lower idler pully,Well after looking at belt line on the accessories the A/C seems to be about 1/2 inch to far foward is it possable to slide th A/C back to line up with the rest of the accesories or is their somethine else???/?

More info

Let me give more info on this situation,The motor i put in was from a 98gt, i stripped all the acc. off and used all of mine, crank pully, both upper and lower idler, power steering ,A/C ,Alt. from my old motor and tranfered to this 98gt motor, The 98 gt donor car took a front passengers side hit.If you look at the serpentine belt down on the drivers side looking down it looks as if the A/C is not really lineing up well with the upper idler pully ,the serpentine belt is bowing foward at the upper idler. Is it possable that the timing cover is damaged??

Sounds like you have the wrong spacer in there or something. Or maybe the bracket is bent. I tried to look at mine but the procharger hangs above that so I can't see **** down there. If it isn't spraying oil out the front I wouldn't think the front cover is messed up. Try the bracket and AC from the donor car and see if it helps. Good luck.
