Problems I need help addresing please.

I have a 89 notch that I just got that needs some work, I really can't drive it untill tuesday. I let it sit for a day then the next nige the battery was almost dead and it almost did not start (it's like 5*f here now). I let it idel for about 5 min and shut it off. Now that was last night and tonight it was dead and even colder. I got my little wireless jumper and she fired right up fine. Cause?

Next the car slightly lifts from a stop almost like the tires in the rear are flat spoted or somthing and their is some noise coming from the pass. rear suspention when driving slowing and a little bumpy when driving at normal speed. Tonight I took it around the parking lot to liten more and it sound like the rear is loose or somthing is bad. Can you guys help me out?:shrug:
 
I found a site called rock auto that sells stock parts for real cheap, I have the tightest budget one could have....Anyway I was planning getting parts from there or another site if I can find them for cheaper. It's not that I need to get it fixed soon but I need time to save money because I only work 2-3 days a week. I have a friend that was a auto mech. and he helped me fix my first car up like new. I had a 91 daytona that the timing belt broke, blew the clutch, all sorts of things.

I'm used to this stuff just not that great at finding out the problem and I can't get him to help untill it warms up more because it's like cloder than 0*F....


The rear just feels like there some loose bolts because it shifts around a bit and is a bit bumpy, it might have blown struts? It sounds like poping and a bit of thumping.:shrug:
 
Letting a car idle for 5 minutes is not really sufficient to replenish the output from the previous start and to charge a battery from near discharge. I'd get the battery load-tested as your temps are testing the deep cycle ability right now.

The other possibity is that you have deficient or corroded battery cables or connections.

Otherwise, it's tough to diagnose rear-end noises (unless they are from recent bean consumption) without seeing and hearing the noise. A thorough once-over back there is a wise idea. Pay attention to the spring isolators, etc.

For the rear end noise, first thing to do is ensure all the junk is out of the trunk. Spare tire components can make a bit of noise if they are loose (don't remove these items - just secure them).
