Problems with GT to Cobra brake swap

I recently put Cobra front brakes on a GT. The brakes make a lot of noise....mostly something rattling. I think that it's the pads. I am not using the stock Cobra PBR pads. Rather, I'm using cheapies. Do the pads make that big of a difference? Anything else that I should look for? The brakes function fine.

Cheap pads may not have anti-rattle clips,which is actually what the noise is. You can try some of the stuff you buy from the parts store that you smear on the back side of the pads.
