Looking for a mid pipe that will go with my mac c/b w/3.5 tips. Its a 99 35th ann ed gt vert w 4.10's.Here Is my ques.Love the prochamber, would like the new one w/cats.Which one will sound better, which will give me the most benefit, perf wise.Is it true that a mid pipe without cats will rob you of torque down low?Can anyone with a mac c/b-chamber combo tell me your likes/dislikes.Only want to do this once and right.Thanks.

Im not exactly sure what your asking. The prochamber is an o/r h pipe (no cats), but you can weld some cats into it. And yes it is true that o/r mid pipes will rob you of A LITTLE torque down low, but will make it up in the higher rpm range.

I just saw that too... there is a new version of the prochamber that has cats welded in already....
I think that if you want the prochamber (i know i do) then you should go with the offroad cat-less version. You will see bigger gains without the cats.

I just put the catless prochamber in and it sounds awesome. I noticed gains in both HP and Torque, I also put Mac longtubes in as well though. I Love my prochamber. I just need the mil elims now to get rid of the pesky check engine light. I don't know what the catted ones are like.

I think the Prochamber might be a little to quiet with cats. It would be nice to get the same sound out of it with cats but I don't think that would happen. I still have the stock H so I'll just throw that on when the state calls me!!

Yea you got a point on that one, the prochamber is quiet enough in off road trim, so I guess the catted idea gets a thumbs down from me as well.

Some of us don't want to deal with worrying about inspections. For some, having an illegal set up is not worth the extra sound. Your views may be different and that's ok too.

MAC's 2004 Performance catalog on page 44 shows a Pro Chamber with cats for 99-04 GT's, fits automatics and 5-speed, for $399.50.
