Granatelli Double Adjustable Upper Control Arms

Well I am disappointed in Granatelli for making this product. I didn't perform like it was suppose to, like they said it was suppose to. I tested it in my 98 GT and later in my 98 Cobra comming up with the same results as it being the worst suspension compnent I've ever tried. Once I installed the Double Adjustable UCA's I took my car out for a test drive. After several hard turns I came to the conclusion that it handled worse than it did with the stock UCA's. After I looked at it and how the suspension works I noticed that the chassis-end of the UCA connection should not be spherical due to too much free 'play' in the upper suspension.

For what it's worth, I give the Granatelli Double Adjustable Upper Control Arms rating of 1 out 10 (10 being the best). I give it a 1 because it still does hold the axle to the chassis.

Cool but shouldn't this be over in parts review? I've been thinking about some LCA /UCA but don't want to get adjustable ones becuase I'm old and wise enough to know I don't know how to set them correctly.
So what would you rec. for a good all around car?

Actually the stock ones with FMS bushings, anything that doesn't have a spherical rod end on it.

LCA's - go for maximum motorsports, they are worth it.

I want it to be 'interactive' with any other questions :nice:

I put in some FRPP 5500-A UCAs in my 02 when I put the Bullitt suspension on and couldn't be happier. The bushings are twice as stiff as the OEM bushings but still allow the Bindoflex™ suspension to do its thing.

Another slightly more extreme alternative is the Steeda HD kit that includes OEM-like arms with a boxing element welded on, stiffer bushings installed and urethane pumpkin bushings.

These seem a good compromise for street driven daily drivers. Serious drag guys will probably want more substantial hardware down there :D
