Professional Products Throttle Body? Yay or Nay?

I have heard both good and bad things about them. Obviously, the good part is the price, and the polished finish. I have heard about them whistling though, as well as problems with the female threads in the blind holes stripping out that the IAC valve bolts to.

You should also check the product reviews here on good ole' Stangnet. :nice:

The one thing that has pretty much steered me away from Professional Products is the fact that they are made in China or somewhere over there, and we hear about how Chinese companies make inferior quality knock-off products all the time, so that pretty much made my mind up about them. I'll gladly pay a little extra cash to keep American workers employed. :flag:

I noticed Professional Products throttle bodies (65, 70, & 75mm) in a Northern Auto Catalog for $140. I'm thinking about getting the 70mm one. Does anybody have one? If so, how do you like it?

I have the 65mm unit and I had a problem with the TV cable not being able to fit up in the bushing on the throttle linkage. Replaced it with a 2 dollar piece from ford and problem solved. My TP sensor went out after about a year and Professional Products sent me one overnight for free. Great customer service...

Accufab are WAY over rated. I had one and the throttle screw fell off and screwed up my motor, $1500.00 damage, So this time i bought a Prof product and it awesome no stupid whissle throttle response is right there, with the Accufab it had hesitation. Bottom line save your money.

WHAT?? I don't know about that, sorry but that sounds like a mac or a bbk, the accufabs have no problems....

Hey it was an Accufab TB trust me i bought it brand new  , and the customer service is a joke.It whissled more then a upside down hooker in the wind. This is just my opinion and i will never buy one again. :bang:

I've got the 70mm ProProd. It was great on stock motor with vortech SC trim, great on built short block with tfs stg1 cam, gt-40 heads, edel. perf intake, and 100 shot. But with built short block, tfs stg1 cam, tfs street intake, tfs track heat heads it wistles like a mofo. I guess there is no way to tell till you put your combo together what it's going to do. It still performs fine but the wistle on my latest combo will make your ears bleed.
