hi i have a holley 650 dubbel pumper (67 and 76 jet) and bought a proform mainbody
the body comes with 72 and 84 jet

but the carb does not idels with the proform.. it idels only 3 sec and the it looks like it squeeze the air out of the carb and the die slowly

does the air bleed have any effect with the idel ciruit..

the proform body should have two air bleed circuits, one for idle and one for high speed. and yes the air bleed circuit does have an effect on idle quality, but unless you have them completely blocked, the engine should idle. check your idle mixture and idle speed first.

Smaller air bleed............richer high and mid rpm mixture.
Larger air bleed.............leaner high and mid rpm mixture.
Smaller fuel jet...............leaner low and mid rpm mixture.
Larger fuel jet................richer low and mid rpm mixture.

this is from a website

i have found out that the 75 bleeds are for the idel ciruit
i will try to keep the keep the 67 size anf 76 jets because the carb ran to ritch
before with the 650..
now i have try to start the car and it will run but i have to give a lot of trottle
if i leave the trottle the eengine dies.... the idel ciruit ahas the 75 size i change it wit a 35 size verry small but the engine idels longer an dit not dies faster. but rus 5 sec orso.. so i have come a littel bit further to get the car running..

i think to buy 60 size air bleeds for the idel ciruit and a 70 size primair jet

does some one had also problems to rus the proform body

I would not mess with the air bleeds. I have no problem getting mine to idle. You have something wrong. If you don't have a tuning book you will not be happy with a carburator. Here is an article I ran across the other day that might help you understand a little about how they work. I think you either are waaay out of adjustment or have a major air leak.

there is somthing that i can't understand... that is that the carb idels good with the
650 mainbody...

Did you try to adjust the idle mixture screws? It sounds like it is very lean at idle with the proform body. So lean that I believe there is a vacuum leak. I used 650dp parts with a proform mainbody and it works pretty good with it set like the instructions say. I have not adjusted anything but the idle mixture screws. It revs cleanly with out sputtering anywhere in the rev range. Have you ran it long enough to get to operating temperature? With out a choke in cool weather, mine takes about 10 minutes before it will idle smoothly with out dieing.

okee will set the carb as proform said..

but my 650 ran good also with a coold start the engine did run good with out dieing...

the sec buterfly is closed by my carb maybe i have to adjust that also
i have to google for some instruction for setting te sec butterfly
