I've been trying to get some research on different programmers. I have read a few post already. I have a stock 07 GT,and I'd like to get a programmer so I can get better throttle response. Also when I change my wheels I don't want any problems with the speedo. After a while I do plan on doing more upgrades, so I need one that I can change multiple times. Any idea's on which programmer I should go for if any?

if you have local speed shop see what they use to prgram cars, if you want one to make minor changes, the SCT and Diablo will do basically the same thing for roughly the same money. i have a diablo only because my local speed shop uses it.

I think the best custom dyno tuner guys use either SCT or Diablosport.

As far as the devices themselves, I like the Predator better than the SCT. I've used both.

The very best tuner out there is the SCT. It has the most adjustable parameters for tuning and ALL of the big names in the s197 tuning crowd use it. I had a diablo before and when I went with the Whipple Supercharger I had to buy a SCT Xcal3. If you ever plan on doing more than bolt ons, a SCT is a must IMO. I've used both and the diablo is a little easier to use, but the SCT has so many more adjustable parameters.

If your main goal is to get rid of throttle lag, then get a Race tune from BamaChips. Doug will supply both the tune and tuner(DiabloSport or SCT).

It really doesn't matter which one..sct or diablo. I've had both for this car and use the diablo now. The fastest 3 valve stang in the world uses diablo. Your best bet is to use what your local shop sells so you can have local support. It's just a tool for changing parameters on the car's computer. Even if one system did have an edge on the other they are constantly upgrading and popping out new tuners every year or 2.

Bamachips' Race tune will provide all around performance in spades.
Doug can provide e-mailed custom tunes for just about every performance mod, except S/C(He can also tune for this, but you have to take your car to him). And if you have an existing tune from him, then I believe that Doug will upgrade it at no charge for each additional non-S/C mod that you make.
