Got to a show today for a couple hours with my wife’s uncle and his crew. Kinda got my “juices” flowing again to get some work done on my car!

Wow, another two months gone by, and no work on the car. Still have those FiddleFart door strikers to do……. One of these days. What else……who knows, but aluminum heads and intake are always on my mind.
Anyway, I have a pretty cool collection of the Maisto 1/18 die cast cars in my garage, and today I found one of my “non Ford” bucket list cars. I would really like one of these Grand Nationals in full size one day! But for now this will have to do.

I got the car out for a ride today in this beautiful October weather, and being that I didn’t have a lot going on, I decided to tackle these Fiddle Fart Fab door strikers. Expecting the worst, with the backing plates falling, I was ready to go.
Passenger side fell right down, but with an extendable magnet, and only removing a few screws, I was able to fish the plate out, then get my hand in there to hold it while I put the new striker on.
I removed a few screws first on the driver side, now that I learned what I needed to do, and that one was off and back on in no time.
Definitely looks much nicer! The old ones had stacks of washers behind them for some reason, and were two different types of strikers.
These are on, no washers, and the doors close better than before!

Anybody know if I can buy these “grommets”……. Or the proper term to search for them? This one is barely hanging on, and my drivers side is missing. Everything I search keeps coming up with the switches at the front of the door for the dome light.
