460hp on stock block = boom!
nice car though and good luck with the build!
I never really ran it hard though.. maybe 2-3 times at the drag strip..460hp on stock block = boom!

do you mean block, or crank, rods & pistons, i alway thought a stock 4.6 block with some good internals could handle alot more then that![]()
He meant block as in shortblock/bottom end.
I'm confused..
The stock "block" will handle 1000+hp.. which is what we're shooting for..
The internals are being replaced with billet parts.. with the exception of the crank, which is a forged cobra unit..

The rods should be around .0025-.003"
hopefully on the low side of that, max is .0027
I thought the cast iron block (not internals) could only handle like 500-600 whp before cracking? I could be wrong...
