Project "Dedicated Service"

So the plan is still an LSx at some point, I had a line on a complete ls7 for $4500 but couldnt sell this engine in time, it'll happen some day though, until then this POS with have to do

Comp Cams Magnum roller rockers $350 (christmas present)
Comp Cams .105 wall pushrods $180 (christmas present)
Morel Link Bar lifters $350
Ed Curtis custom grind cam .373/.359 230*/240* 113/110 $350
Scat 347 "long" block and AFR 185 heads $1100
Stock Block $ Being Rons powder coating bitch
Race coated pistons rings, main bearings, and rod bearings $165
Melling high volume oil pump $45 (left over from my engine sale)
ARP Head Studs $35
ARP main studs $35
ARP 7/16 rocker studs $35
MLS Head gaskets $65 (2)
Main Seal $15
Misc gasket set $85

Pics are out of order but whatever, be glad i actually updated this thread ;)

For those wondering thats a close ratio road race gforce with straight cut gears and dog rings, .90 final. I purchased it for $800 with a broken main shaft but came with another 26t hardened main shaft and is currently being put together by my buddy.

Thought you was installing an LS-juan, or LS-tree

BTW, I love the black finish on that engine  Looks way better than the polished/chrome look of the late 90's early 00's

Thanks guys

Nate- I HATE chrome, polished, really anything shiney, so I did all the powdercoating myself cause im cheap and poor. Its a really different black wrinkle finish, actually and imperfect cracked look instead of a regular texture kind of finish

Jeff- IIRC its pretty much your exact same engine minus a few things. Shooting for about 400-450rwhp. Still need to have my 1 7/8" headers made.

Actually the goal was an ls7 with a valve change, porting and a cam. But i needed to sell this engine, it was a cousin of a friend and he wanted $4500 for it with 20k, full car harness and computer. Sucks cause that would have been a 600rwhp beast at least.

Oh well, this engine looks good, lets hope it runs decent.

I completely agree... I hate me some chrome as well. What is that powdercoating material called? It looks awesome.

Christ... I moved to a new house recently with a huge garage and have considered getting some powdercoating chit.

Anyways, cool pics Crane can't wait to see the finished product.

There pretty different, different stroke, bore, rod length, cylinder head, intake, cam... lol

Id guess that motor makes from 380 to 410 at the tire. How high you plan on spinning it to?

For some reason i thought it was pretty similar other then the heads. Been gone a while, oh well. Engine should spin to 7000. The heads have been gone through extensively so im hoping for a minimum of 400 and onward. My builder said when he was done with them they were around a 205 runner for how much he worked the runners and pockets. 160# springs installed, Ti hardware blah blah. Ed was positive it would make at least 410 but wanted to be stingy with his estimations. We'll see, whatever it makes will be plenty for the road course.

So here are the things I need to get it running
Re-assemble g-force
LMC clutch
1 7/8 Headers
Thickest radiator possible
Electric water pump
MSD dizzy
Electric fan of some sort
80mm throttle body
90mm lmaf
These are just the bare minimum to get the car running, I still need a pair of sprint 5's and an mm roll bar before I push the car any

So if y'all have any of that shoot me a PM about it.

These were requested, these heads had to be extensivly saved, dont buy heads unless you have them in your hands to look over. These are the monster 1262R gaskets, 200cc according to my builder now, im just glad he saved them.
