ok as most of you know, I just totalled my vert (frame is bent very very badly) keith did as well, but anyways, im putting the running gear into my 86gt, I have to do some stuff to the body to get it right, (little rust) then its getting made over.
anywayz, im taking all the wiring out of my vert (engine, dash) and then I run into the problem of the front lights, If I got a nicer 86 harness would it plug up to my 90 harness no problem? Im just asking because ALL my wiring is out of the car right now, and I want to do it right the first time, the last time. Also, will the pedal assembly bolt right up in my 86? Thanks alot, any imput would be great.....

josh

oh yes major pictures tomorrow, of everything....... stay tuned!!

The pedals will work out just fine, the wiring harness may have different connectors, although some quick splice and solder could fix that.

The box bolts up fine....the harness may get tricky. You will have to trace it back and just match plugs....ir if won't plug in cut and splice as mentioned. The only other thing...is that your old car is a vert and the new one is a hatch/coupe I assume. You will get some convertible wires that will not be used such as the top motor but the speaker plugs might work because they aren't much further back in the hatch.

yeah, I was thinking that, im going to cut all the vert stuff out of the harness, I think I might still have my old harness, from the dash, so that would be good, I just got to find it......
