Project update - new pics

Well, I have been plugging away over the New England winter in my garage to complete my drivetrain project - 347 Stroker, T5z 5 speed upgrade. I have gotten so much help from Stangnet that I thought I would post some pics (ignore the 2002 dates...) and share the fruits of "our" labor.

Got a few small items left, namely the distributor, starter and carb. I think I am going to get the Crane all electronic distributor as it has no springs or vacuum advance canister. It's all done electronically by truning a couple of dials. MSD just introduced their equivilant, but it is more money and will only start to ship this month from Summit, so not much time in the field. Anyone else running this Crane Distributor? Thanks again for the ongoing help.

I was thinking the same thing. You don't see too many shots looking right at the trans tailshaft like that. Cool!

I really like the adjuster for your alternator. Does that have heim joint ends?

Thanks for the kind words, its been a lot of work to get to this point. The headers se Hooker Comps with ceramic costing. The engine is a Coast High Performance 347 long Block. I have a bunch more pics on Car Domain, click the link in my signature. That tranny shot is my favorite also. I just may blow it up and frame it

The alternator bracket is from March Performance and it does use heim joints on the adjuster bar. The brackets cost more than I really wanted to spend, but they are very nice pieces and fit very perfect!

My engine bay wants to look like yours when it grows up. I love the combination of the Corporate Blue (or close to it) with the AL heads, silver intake, and all the billet. Blue and silver just seems right in a Ford engine compartment.

Yeah, I'm calling you on Gratuitous Use of Heim Joints too.

Thanks. The pullies are from March and are polished billet aluminum with a clear powder coated finish = no polishing! They are not chrome, but are damn shiny
