I'm going to take my 00 GT out and do some data logging on the Predator. My question is what is the proper a/f ratio I am supposed to have? Also, since I turned the tc off my ABS light comes on all the time. Anyone else have this problem? My steering wheel does shake quite a bit when I brake. What would cause this and does it have anything to do with my ABS light?

What would be considered the normal area for a N/A Mustang would be 12.8-13.2. Being still alittle outside these boundaries is still ok though.

depends on how you are driving. under normal driving conditions and idle it should be around 14.7:1 under wot the stock tune should go to about 12:1 if it was modifed, around 13:1

Steering wheel shaking during braking could be a warped rotor. My a/f N/A stayed right around 13.1.

well a/f ratio at cruise should be 14.7 to 1. now at WOT it depends on tune. n/a it should bei somewhere between 12-13.

I disabled my traction control and my abs light is not on.

stearing wheel shaking wile applying the brakes could be a sign that you need a brake job or a rotor is warped. I would suggest just doing a brake job. you will either have to have your rotors turned or buy new ones so you will find the problem.

The Predator shows you a/f ratio?

Shaking steering wheel while braking usually indicates warped rotors. I'd hav them taken off and inspected with a micrometer or cut. Perhaps your pads are very low as well and/or master cylinder fluid is low. If that happens the ABS will de-activate itself. I'd look into checking your brakes.

And i believe most people on here run a little rich, at around 13.1:1 Air/Fuel Ratio, which many on here call "lean"

If you don't have a wideband, you can calculate closed loop a/f relatively accurately by logging the fuel trims.

I thought the fuel trims were meaningless at open loop. Where did it say that?

i believe their is a chart to compare voltages from the sensors to a/f

Sorry, that was a typo I meant to say closed loop fuel trims. I'll go back and edit that post.

To calulate you have to log LAMBSE (EEC's tageted a/f ratio) and KAMRF (fuel trims)
Multiply the two to get your actual a/f ratio. This only works within the range that the o2's are accurate, about 14:1 to 15:1 but I've seen many people tun maf curves and injector slopes without a wideband using only these tow parameters.

Got'cha.

The Predator only lets you tweak WOT (open loop) fuel ratio. I hope you're not trying to adjust WOT fuel based on non-WOT estimates.

I don't have a predator I use a Tweecer and a wideband for tuning. I was just showing how you could get some sort of idea of your a/f to see how far off your MAF curve is.

Ok. You have more capabilities with your Tweecer than Nice1Ford does with a Predator. I hope Nice1Ford doesn't try to adjust his WOT fuel based on non-WOT fuel trims.

I'm not going to. I just want to get some sort of idea. Also, could the warped rotor problem, or warn brake pads be the reason my ABS light is on? The fluid level seems to be ok.
