So with doing heads and cams and going through the process of choosing the right parts I fell in love with some video and sound clips of the XE 270 and the reports of good power with them......in research i came across a million threads with people saying they have issues with them.

In a conversation today with STEEN racing about their stage II heads and the comp cams xe270 I voiced my concerns about PTI....guy was surprised as heck about what I said.....he told me that's the number one cam they use and in all the installs he's done they've never seen the problem that those have spoken of on this and other forums. He told me I really shouldn't be concerned and should have no doubts about that being an AWESOME cam to go with...

JUST FYI......I tend to trust these guys when they're telling me I won't have probs....

Which just leads me to wonder why so many people here seem to have problems and bad things to say about that cam with stock pistons....

Comp was grinding like 4-5 degrees of advance in those cams a few years ago and still might be but that in conjuction with the stock timing being off bank to bank was giving those who just installed them "straight up" some issues with valve contact. If they are installed correctly like Steen does then you will have no issues with PTV.
