i could not live in a state like that, florida has no inspection, or anything. we dont need hoods, jeeps have no doors, the cops have 5% tint on there cars, we were at a local meet tonight, there were 3 cars running M/T slicks, one had wheelie bar, and a parachute covering the liscense plate!

i love florida laws!!!!

Yea, you can take my brothers' AKs and shake them and hear parts moving all around.

I don't doubt they they may not be as accurate out at range. But at the distance we usually shoot (<200 yards), you can't really tell a difference. But really? Who shoots farther than that with an open sight and an assault rifle?

I honestly don't know a whole lot about them either. Just what I learn from it on a Sunday afternoon of shooting behind the house. I still like my AR better because of the recoil. I can squeeze off 30 in less than 10 seconds and hold a 12 inch pattern at 75 yards. Try that with an AK, lol!

I pretty regularly shoot an AR-15 at 200, 300, and 600 yards open sights for assorted matches. You typically have to use a 77gr or 80gr round at the 600 for the AR but it is quite stable and accurate out to 800 yards. AK's can't stay in the black (shooting standard targets) at 300 yards and the people usually quit the match before they get to the 600.

Sorry for going off topic again.

I like cops. they keep me protected and I have only been pulled over when I am obviously in the wrong (most recently having no front license plate- will fix that shortly).

They should have a poll asking whether people are for or against the police- every person's name is put on a list either for or against. The next time somebody dials 911, they check the list. If the caller is supportive/for police, they take the call. If they are against police, they hang up

They should have a way that, before you submit reply, everyone gets to vote on whether your post is worth a ****. If not, the text gets tattooed on your forehead instead of posted on this forum...

Stafford county here. Been running an o/r pipe since 2006, and windows are tinted 35% all around. I drive modest, and don't get any attention. Everyone has mentioned strict VA laws, yet I haven't been pulled in VA in 6 years.

Driving through baltimore on the other hand, I got 2 tickets in under a 3 month span for speeding.

You're a cop that runs illegal exhaust on your car and you pull people over for this exact reason?

I have a lot of respect for you guys, but just curious.

Yeah buddy, my tint is to dark and my car is to low thanks to the body kit, it also has L/T headers and Off-Road H-pipe. Like I said, all that stuff is a way to stop someone, I cant remember the last time I cited someone for exhaust or “car mods” and typically if it is a decent car I don’t care unless it is an obvious safety issue. Also in PA a car can be “emissions exempt” from inspections if it is driven less then 3,000 miles a year. So no, I don’t obey all the laws I enforce, but when I get caught I pay the price just like everyone else.

Cool, like I said, just curious. Is the law about vehicle height a state law? Do most states have that law?

Yeah in PA anything lower than 6 inches and no taller than 24 or 36 (cant remember off hand) or anything done by the manufacturer.
