Pulling codes possible issue

So for tomorrow to see if I can diagnose the issue with the 95 vert to see all the potential issues I am going to pull the codes.
I know you have to use a paperclip but am unsure of where it has to be placed. Pictures would be appreciated.
I’m addition for the KOEO test will it still work if I am riding the throttle? As this is the only way the car won’t die

You can run the KOEO codes, but when you go to start the car and run the KOER codes, you might get an error due to the ecu not being able to control idle.

Easist way to pull codes is a code reader. This one is cheap and really makes the process easy

Good news I guess, she idles now but occasionally drops down to about 300 rpm but catches it and brings it back to idle. Some white smoke comes from the area around the end of the H pipe however
