The Lamborghini Murcielago is the ultimate example of an exotic sports car, featuring extreme styling, outrageous performance and sales in very small numbers. Now the Italian automaker is raising the bar with the all-new Murcielago LP 640. The new alphanumeric designator refers to the engine position—"longitudinale posteriore"—and its tremendous output of 640 horsepower. This is an increase of 60 horses over the outgoing generation of Murcielago—accomplished by increasing the displacement of the V12 engine to 6.5 liters, as well as a "coherent review of every engine component." Maximum torque of 487 lb-ft is achieved at 6000 rpm. With added power comes increased performance—62 mph in just 3.4 seconds on the way to a new top speed of 211 mph. Power is directed through all four wheels via a modified 6-speed manual transmission. All that power is handled with a revised suspension system as well as 18-inch alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli P Zero "Rosso" tires. Braking is also improved, with optional ceramic carbon brakes that have six-piston calipers. The bull's skin has also been reshaped. With even more aggressive looks, the new Murcielago features new front and rear bumpers, new rear taillights, a single rear exhaust incorporated into the rear bumper and, on request, the engine cover can be made from glass.

But why would you want that when you could have a 95' GT with subtle exhaust leak????

I'd rather get a TT Ford GT for that price. Lambos don't do it for me, never have.

its a surface along with psi thing that does it. if you have small brakes it locks up at a certian psi but with bigger ones it doesnt as fast but your stopping the same if not better its all in surface area

I think those cars are cool .... but I dunno. They have like the worst re-sale value in history, lol. Anyone seen the mid-80's Countach's that sell on Barret-Jackson. Crazy.

I veto aaron's opinion and restate that Canada is FOR the Murcielago

how can you not like 640hp?

apparently it's the most uncivilized beast of a car...what could you expect N/A though

One for usual braking, and one for the e-brake

pretty standard on exotics

and Guero, the 6 pistons on ceramic brakes make a huge difference...though ceramic brakes will sound like there are no pads (screaching) until they warm up.

6 piston is overkill on our cars unless you have a suspension setup to necessitate braking at speeds of over 150 MPH

I just want 4 pistons on cobra rotors without being fisted for the cobra R calipers

It'd be nice to find another 4 piston that is more common that would bolt up....like a vette or mercedes caliper
