?purpose of running FPR with and w/o vaccum?

are these guys doing it on a stock (non-adjustable) regulator? if using an AFPR, i dont see the point.

they probably do it to squirt more fuel into the chambers (till the puter adapts). But the puter expects less fuel pressure at non-WOT situations than WOT, so those guys might run funny at WOT since the puter expects more (once again, adaptation occurs).

fox guys run with higher FP but disconnect the battery between runs to clear the KAM. then they run at higher FP (vac line attached though) and get the run in before the puter can adapt.

nno no no, You always run it with the vacuum line hooked up. When you set the pressure you usually take it off because when you are at WOT there is no vacuum so you are setting the WOT Fuel Pressure. So stock fuel presure with the vacuum off is 38psi and if you want more fuel at WOT you would bump it to say 40psi with the vacuum off and see how it runs.
