Just put on a set of cobra brakes and bled the system...took it for a test drive, didnt do any panic stops, just normal stops...first thing i noticed is the pedal is firmer. is this because i am still using the gt master cylinder on the cobra front calipers?

Did you replace the rubber hoses with stainless steel? If so that's a lot of it. It's a mod on my too do list.

That's normal. It'll probably soften up a little over time. Mine has, or I've just gotten used to it.

No I haven' put ss lines on it yet. just wanted to get them in and working...will swap out with ss later on. thanks for the replies guys

I has to do with the different piston diameters in the front calipers as compared to the GT master cylinder.

Yes, it's because of the GT master cylinder...switching to a Cobra unit will make them a bit softer and will allow you to apply a bit more force to the brakes.

What is the proper way to break in the new brakes? I test drove it around the block so far and thats about it just to make sure everything is good
